Wednesday 25th February

25/2/2015

Good Morning,  It has been awhile since I posted and you know this is the first morning when I haven't been doing anything in the soap room as I am waiting for dehumidifier  to remove moisture so that I can continue labeling and wrapping soaps that are ready. While we were not in the path of the cyclone and only received showers for a few days the humidity has been horrendous  I am emptying out at least 20 litres of water each day just from the soap room.  Luckily I have some big blue drums that hold 200 litres of water each so that I can recycle it onto the garden.

Have you seen the Facebook postings of some new products and some different sizes in other products.  Body Butter is now available in 50 gm jars and will be handy for those weekends away also that all time favorite Lemon Myrtle soap is in a smaller size.  I also added a pic of the Witch hazel Toner as it seems to have disappeared from Facebook guess Facebook liked it so much that it swallowed it up.   I have also added anew product Pine Tar Salve
I used it as I get contact Dermatitis and the itching drives me mad but using this product has given me relief and I only use it when the itch becomes unbearable.

Well that is all that has been going on over the last week plus I have been working behind the scenes on the web site so it is slowly coming together .  May need to get some professional help to finish it off but will keep at it until I reach the point where I find it is beyond me then call them in and hopefully get it looking good and easier to negotiate.

Hoping you all have a great day and please be kind to each other.

Blessings

Good Morning,

Great excitement in our house as I have just cut and stamped my latest soap.
Remember the secret liquid I have been talking about well I can now tell you it is Camel Milk yes that is right fresh milk straight from the Camel.  this milk is reputed to be so good for people with troubled skin and I have managed to get enough to make quite a few batches.  Only hope there will be more coming after I use this lot.
Here is a picture of my soaps not cleaned up or anything so they look a little rough.  I didn't have a camel so you will just have to imagine that we have arrived at the oasis and those banana trees are really palm trees  at the oasis.

The stamped soaps at the back are made in a wooden log mold and have done what is called a partial gel see the darker bit in the middle.  the fancy shapes are done in silicone and even though the lot was put in the fridge to stop the partial gel the wooden mold seems to doit as it holds the heat in.  It is only cosmetic but me being OCD am not impressed as I wanted my soaps to to be nice and whit.  Hopefully this will fade out a bit as the soap cures.

You can pre-order this soap in two ways 1) by using the contact form under the More Tab on the website and
2) by sending me a pm on Facebook.
I have not worked out pricing at the moment but am guessing they will not be that much more than the other soap products I have.  I will let everyone know when I have worked the pricing out.   These should be available for sale by the end of March.

Not much else has been done in the soap room  as have been busy labelling and wrapping this week but I do have a new soap coming out in the luxury range soon.  It is sitting out there doing it's thing that all soaps have to do before they get cleaned up for labelling and selling so that one should be ready for release mid March.  Other than that I have paid a visit to my supplier
to stock up on supplies.

Well that has been my week hope you all have had a good one as well.

Blessings

Good Morning,
It seems such a long time since I rambled on to you all.  The days just seem to be flying past and I am not getting as much done as I wanted to during this Market free time but never mind as it will still be waiting for me to do it whenever I decide I can.
Have lots of things happening in the soap room at the moment so not all is lost.   My first lot of home grown Cucumber and Aloe Vera soap is ready to sell and I can tell you it is such a lovely silky smooth soap so  check it out.
Also have had feed back on all the new products that I sent out to testers for trials some are ok some are not and I will be making the ones that are in the next few days so they will be ready for when I go back to the Markets.

This week I will be labelling and getting soaps shrinkwrapped  ready as well.
These soaps are restocks but yesterday I did make a new one it is a plain jane as no colour was added except for a few pink jojoba beads I sprinkled on top.  I wanted to see how white my soap would turn out however I did use some flavor in it just to see if they make the soap go darker as well. I cut it last night and so far it is staying white but early days yet.
One of the soaps I will be getting ready for sale is the new Pine Tar Bar.  This soap is supposed to be a big help if you have skin problems like excema or psoriasis.  I suffer with itchy scalp and no matter what I use I am always scratching so I have just started to use this instead of the Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo Bar (another new one)  so will see if it helps with that condition as well.
Did your Grandma or mum use a black ointment when you were little.  Mine did and I have found a recipe that uses Pine Tar and activated Charcoal.  This is a good all purpose salve or balm depending what you want to call it. It does not make you skin look black.  It is great for drawing out splinters or healing scratches and insect stings etc.  You have to cover with a bandaid and leave it on for a day or so.  Now all I have to do is label it and it is ready also.
Remember a few weeks back I was talking about a secret liquid I was getting to make soap then the deal fell through.  Well yesterday I picked up the secret liquid and I have made one soap log already this morning so stay tuned as once it is ready to cut I will let you know what it is.

Well guess that is enough of a ramble for today don't forget to check out the pinned post on Facebook to be in the running for some free soap.

Blessings and be kind to each other
