Good Morning,

Another week has come and gone and this is the first chance I have had to do a ramble.  This week I had 2 days away from home one was a visit to my supplier and the other was delivering orders and doing some shopping for the market stall.  Couldn't find what I was looking for in the shops so will now resort to waiting until the item comes available online.
The rest of the week I spent putting orders together and one day with a friend looking for a campervan so that she can go off travelling whenever she wants.

We have been to 3 Markets so far and renewed our acquaintance with all you wonderful customers after having 2 months off.  It is so nice seeing you all and chatting to everyone.
Our year is divided up into Markets for 3-4 months March until June usually the first weekend in June is all we do then we have June and July off and go away in the caravan
if all goes well. We start back in August at the Markets and go through until Christmas time.  January and February are usually spent at home restocking the shelves for the next round of Markets.   You can still order  online during January and February and we do free delivery in a wide area from Ipswich to Toogoolawah and Toowoomba and surrounding areas.    I do take limited stock when we travel so if you are really desperate can probably put a small order together and post it from where ever we are at the time.

What are you doing over Easter?  I want to get outside weather permitting and fertilise all the garden as well as weeding and planting out a couple of bottlebrush trees.  I have to do it in small amounts as to much bending or squatting and I will be flat on my back with sciatica and back pain.  Grrr! getting older sure is restrictive to an avid gardener.
At least the weather is reported to be milder so I will still enjoy it no matter how much time I am out there for.

Of course we also have a Market on Saturday so come along to the Toowoomba Showground and visit the Toowoomba Farmers Market.  This is the last one to be held at this venue then it is moving to Cobb & Co near the windmills just up the road from Queens Park a much more central position.  It will also be going to fortnightly from May onwards but we are committed elsewhere so will only be there on the 4th Saturday of each month.

Have you seen the new products that are up on Facebook and the website.  I am wrapped in both of them.  One is a Laundry Stain Stick and is just so good at getting stains out of your clothes by just wetting the stick and rubbing it onto the stain before placing item in the wash.  It does a great job and at $3 is very reasonable.  The other one is a Facial Mist for those sticky hot days (I guess you can spray it on your body as well) .  It is lovely and refreshing and scented with Rose or Lavender but there are many other scents if you don't like these.  It comes in 100ml misting spray bottle that can easily fit in your handbag to take out for the day and at $7 is a real bargain.

Well that is all for my ramble I am off to the Soap Room for an hour or two then out into the garden.

                     HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE

Stay safe everyone no matter where you go and what you do and remember be kind to each other.

Blessings

Good Morning,
We are back into the swing of things for going to Markets again.
1st Market my brain was scrambled as I couldn't remember how to firstly pack everything in the car and 2nd how I set up so it took me twice as long to do everything but this week everything went smoothly.  It still took me longer than I would like but I made it in time for the customers to see everything.

It is still quite hot here mid 30's most days but nice breezes temper it slightly. We have been able to work out best practice for the awnings and the new sign is a big hit with everyone as they can see it from a long way and know exactly where we are.  I am so pleased as I was undecided whether to get one or not.  It stays on the gazebo when we pack it up thanks to a lovely lady at Bags N Swags that sewed the Velcro on to the gazebo skirt.

EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT
Have you ever heard of the Awassi Sheep ?
Well I hadn't either until several months ago now I am learning lots about them as I am making soaps from their lovely milk and also selling other products made by the owner of these very versatile sheep.   They are a meat and milk sheep and their wool can also be used for carpet making wool.
Soap will not be available for a few weeks yet but the milk is chock full of minerals and vitamins as well as being high in butterfats.  I have only made plain soaps so far same as the Goat and Camel Milk soaps as so many people have sensitivity to colors and scents in soaps but have been thinking that I should now start experimenting with colors and scenting them so that everyone who likes to have these in their soaps can try it.
What do you think would you like colors and scents in the milk soaps as well as the plain 100% milk (I don't water mine down)  bars for those who need them.  Please leave a comment on this post.
I will put up some photos later showing you the products in the AWASSI range.

SOAP ROOM
As I have stocked up with all my products I am doing some sorting out and playing with new ideas over the next few days.  It is amazing how busy one can be without really trying.   I am only working for a few hours at a time as have had severe sciatica and back/neck problems for a few months now.  Even to the point of visiting a Neuro surgeon but thank goodness nothing needs to be operated on not that I would go through with that as have seen and heard of to many horror stories where surgery has made things worse.
Anyway I have succumbed to pain relief and have had some acupuncture so now am feeling human.  At least the pain has diminished and I can get on with things.    I blame this silly weather we are having or sometimes my age as one is not getting any younger but at least I am still mobile and can do things that I love doing.
I have a couple of new products that will be released for sale very soon so as well as the Sheep Milk products keep watching for these.  They are not quite ready  as yet but will put up pics for you to see when they are.

Don't forget that if you want anything we do free delivery in the local and surrounding areas and I do try to pack everything as well as I can and keep postage down for those outside the area.  AusPost prices are high but I cannot use couriers from here as they won't pick up from me.  Just one of the downsides of living out of town but there are many positives so I do what I can to help you the customer.

Well I am off to the Soap Room so take care everyone and be kind to each other.

Good Morning Everyone,
Well we made it through our first Market back after a 2 month break from Christmas.  I had forgotten how my setup went so took me ages to get it finished but it looked good once everything was in place.  First time with our new banner and also now we have side awnings to keep the sun off the products where applicable.
It all depends on how close we are to the next gazebo as to where we put them as sometimes we tie the gazebo legs together we are that close.

I like the new look as the banner at the front makes it so much easier for the customers to see where we are.  I still have the smaller sign as well but it is usually inside hanging over a table or strung up on the side when I can put it up that is.  the new one is a permanent fixture as it is velcroed on wit industrial strength Velcro and we don't have to take it off to fold the gazebo up.

Have you seen the new products I have put out while I was busy restocking
I am very pleased with the Laundry Stain Stick as it does such a good job of removing greasy dirty stains from clothing and is so simple just wet and rub onto the stain then throw into the wash.  I also brought back Mango scented soap but as a Luxury Soap this time.   People told me how much they liked it but that was after I decided not to make it anymore so now it is back but even better.   My luxury soap is a more moisturising soap than the Everyday Soaps as it has extra Shea and Cocoa Butter added.
So if you liked the Everyday version of this one you will really like the Luxury Version.
The Black Magic Luxury soap lovers are in for a surprise this time as it did something strange when I added the Blue colouring and is now a greenish colour weird I know as it has never happened before but I used Extra Virgin Olive oil and it has a greenish tinge when made into soap so guess that did it.  I am not sure but soap is still as lovely as the blue coloured one.  I am using it right now in my shower just to make sure and I love it.

I noticed the number of likers on Facebook are creeping up gradually so a great big welcome to all the new people and thank you for liking my page. Checkout the Albums and look at all the products then if you have any answers either send a message via my inbox or Email me by using the "Contact Us" form on the website.  I am checking messages all the time so should get back to you reasonably quick.

I am working on a new soap ingredient at the moment it is in the testing phase but sorry I can't tell you what it is just yet but all will be revealed very soon so stay tuned and you will be one of the first to know what it is.

Well I have an appointment in Brisbane today so have to go or will never make it.  So take care everyone and remember be Kind to each other.

Blessings
