ood Morning,

I have just had one of the busiest weeks both in the kitchen and in the soap room and I have not made any soap as yet.  Another busy week this week as well as the Electrician is coming in to install new fans in the house and Ivan has Dr appointments to go to plus I have deliveries to do and I still need to make some more products including soaps this time.

Thank goodness the weather has been kind as have also been planting my vegetable garden up and it is just beginning to look good so lots of nice fresh
vegetables coming up starting with lettuce and silver beet as they are ready to pick.
In among all my cooking and making I have found time to go through the website and change all the product prices for my Spring Sale.  If you want anything now is a good time to buy as most products have been reduced by
20% or slightly more so get in before Wednesday as the sale ends 5pm on Wednesday to give me time to get orders done and posted by Friday.

While changing the prices for the sale I have decided to rationalise my pricing and make things to the nearest 50 cents.  You will see that all Everyday Soaps are now $4 even Goats Milk but unfortunately Camel Milk has to stay a bit higher as the milk is very expensive.  I will carry the camel milk as long as I can afford the milk and try to keep the prices as low as I can for you.

One of the products I still have to make this week is Bugs Away Lotion as with summer just around the corner the mozzies and midges will be out in force and I have found this lotion works at keeping them away.  I hate chemicals especially in things you put on your skin so if you want an almost chemical free ( I do use a preservative but it is paraben and formaldehyde free) bug deterrent then you need to try this one.

Also making lip scrub again as I found it wonderful for cleaning off the dry skin from your lips especially now with all the wind we have been having.
It makes your lips so smooth and luscious.

Well thats my week taken care of hope your week will be as fruitful and remember no matter what you are doing be kind to each other.

Blessings.

Good Morning,
I am home again after a few days away.  We went down to Storm King Dam which is 10 minutes drive out of Stanthorpe.  Did my delivery of the huge guest soap order on Wednesday morning just as well as there was a severe storm late Wednesday and then rain and storms all day on Thursday. Friday was just wind so strong we thought the van was going to blow over then we had good weather over the weekend so could get out and do some sight seeing around the area.  Glad to be back home and will be getting on with the business of having a SALE on here.   Details to come later this week as have to put my car in this morning to get fixed.   Nothing major just the petrol gauge is playing up but will cost big $$'s to fix of course.

I made some Black Raspberry and Vanilla Soap a day before we left and left it sitting on the table to dry and harden up.  It is one of my most popular scents and has such a lovely sweet smell.  My house smelt so lovely when we opened the door yesterday.  I must remember to do this more often when we are going away as it is so lovely to come home and have such a beautiful scent greet you.  Actually I am very pleased with this batch as I think I have achieved the right shade of mauve/purple finally.
It has been the bane of my soaping life trying to get a decent shade of this color and I have dreaded having to make anything using that color as usually I get anything from grey to almost black purple from using to much.  Hope I can repeat this next time I need to make a soap using Mauve or purple.

Christmas is just around the corner and while I am not making themed style products I can put together a gift pack for any occasion.  My gift packs are
chock full of all my products and can be made to suit anyone so if you are stuck for an idea for a favourite Aunt or the school teacher then worry no more and check out the albums on Facebook or the website.  You can choose what products you would like in the pack or I can choose for you.
Packs can start from as little as $10 upto any amount you want.

Well I must be off and get ready to take my car to get fixed.  Looking forward to sitting down to a lovely coffee and pumpkin scone with dates in it
while I wait for the car to be fixed.

Hope you all have a lovely day and be kind to each other.

Blessings.

Good Morning,
It is a really warm morning here and I have been up early to get things rolling
as we are running away again but only for a couple of days as I have to deliver the huge order I have been working on and finished last week.
It is a couple of hours drive away so we decided to take the van and check out a dam and caravan park that we found one day while we were roaming around.

All orders have been processed and i have been busy in the soap room restocking as some of the products are getting very low.  Boy I thought I had heaps out there but when I rationalised and decided on those that were
going to be a run out I realised I had so many of the more popular scents to remake.  They are all tucked up and curing while we are away and then I will be busy labelling and wrapping.

When I come back I will put up a site sale just because I can.  Maybe call it "Spring Sale" so keep your eye out for it and get some bargains when I do it.
Almost forgot to tell you I have a new all natural soap coming as well.  It is staring at me right now while I type as I have to take photos and put it up on the site so check back later as I will try and get it done today.  It is not a pretty soap but is so nice on my skin so hope you will like it too.

Well time to go as have to do some shopping and banking before getting the caravan out and packing it up ready to go.  Looking forward to these few days away.

So hope you all have a great week and be kind to each other.

Blessings

Good Morning,

I cannot believe that it is Friday already where on earth has this week gone.
I have been doing a lot of running around instead of being in the soap room
visiting the wholesaler and getting my car in to get the petrol gauge fixed as it has been acting weird for awhile now.  It didn't get fixed as they have to get in the parts so annoying as I had arranged for it to be in for 2 days and reworked my schedule and now have to do it all again.

Didn't do much in the soap room this week as wasn't home much but I did get all the orders finished and posted and made up a lovely gift basket
for a friend's daughter to give to one of her co workers to help her get through an extremely hard time.
I think that is so wonderful and kind of her daughter.
If you would like a care basket or a gift basket chock full of hand made goodies just let me know and I can make one up with your choice or a random selection by me and remember I deliver for free in quite a large area from here.

This week we will be at the Toogoolawah Railway Markets on Saturday.
I used to live out there when I had my farm so I look forward to seeing some familiar faces and having a chat.   If you are passing by on the Brisbane Valley Highway turn off and come into the town you can't miss the Market as the Railway Station is diagonally opposite IGA love to see you so stop by and have a chat then check out all the lovely stalls.

Well I have some labelling and other work to get done today ready for the Market so I had better get up and into it so take care everyone and be kind to each other.

Blessings.

Good Morning,
Yay!  we are getting some rain not much but with what we had the other day the grass is already greening up so next we will be out there mowing.

Finally finished the 700 guest soaps order and they are all boxed up ready for delivery later in the month as we are taking the van with us this time and staying in a lovely caravan park we stumbled on last time we were down around Stanthorpe way.  Now I have just one order to finish and a couple of markets to do then we will head off for that little trip.  I think that is a better idea than taking all day to rush down that way and get back home and we can also take Berny so he will love that as he loves going away in the van.

Spring has sprung around here and already my bulbs are starting to shoot so will have some lovely hippeastrums and Jacobean lilies flowers soon also
crocus flowers I hope.  It has inspired me to come up with a spring soap so will be looking at how to do that over the next few days.  What would you suggest as a Spring Soap.  I was thinking of pastel colors and lovely floral flavours like Jonquil or maybe a mix of fruits and flowers scents.
I won't be doing it for a few days as have a market to get ready for on Saturday and today I am planning to actually do some cooking as my oven has just been fixed and I also have to make some Lemon Myrtle soaps.
So put your thinking caps on and comment on here so I can get your thoughts as well.

Gift Packs are on the agenda as well.  Do you like them?  Would you rather a pack of just my brand of product or would want say Chocolates and other
things (suggestions required here as my mind is blank- seniors moment I guess).  I am trying to gauge what people expect in a basket or pack  so please help me if you can.  I am a plain jane sort of person and usually my packs are chock full of all my goodies with a scrubby or a facewasher in them and I think they are a bargain as they usually have more $$ worth of product but I discount them so what would you like?

Well that is enough rambling please take care on the roads as they will be slippery and be kind to each other.

Blessings.

Good Morning,
Well we survived the new Sunday Market and it was so lovely to be inside again. We were Lucky it was inside as it was freezing outside in the wind. I had my heavy jacket and scarf on all day.  The next Market there is in 3 months so next time we will have a full sized stall as I felt I was overshadowed by the larger stalls each side and there was no where to hang my banner.  Thank you to all those who braved the cold winds and came to check it out.  So many new faces and quite a few of regular faces as well.  Hope to see you there in November.

Grandma's tablecloth was a good source of conversation as a lot of people stopped to admire it.  So Grandma your work goes on and I only hope the Irish Linen can stand upto being out on the tables again as I noticed it is getting quite worn in some places.

This week in the soap room is looking pretty busy as I am finish off 1 large order and another one not so large as well as restocking some of the more popular scents in soaps.  You will see the selection shrinking over the next few months as I am ceasing the not so popular ones and when existing stock is gone that will be it for them.  I have to do this or go to a double stall at the markets to be able to display everything so it can be seen.  However if I went to a double stall then my prices would have to go up  ( I am also doing a price review at the same time)  so some prices may change,

I am always striving to bring you the customers a good quality product at a reasonable price but as you know the cost of groceries is going up all the time.  I am taking a good hard look at my costs and trying to keep them down but guess it will be inevitable in the long run as they have been the same for the last three years.  So crossed fingers that they can stay that way for another year.

Spring is in the air and I have already started working in the vegetable garden as well as doing all those spring cleaning that one tends to do still have windows to clean on the house and getting more veges planted in the garden.  I am trying some of the vegetables that you cut the bottoms off and plant again so far have leeks and celery coming on well and I also plant butter lettuce that you pick the leaves from and they renew.  Hopefully there will be enough room in my garden beds.

Going to morning tea with a friend this morning as have been rather neglectful lately what with travelling and catching up on orders and of course the house and yard so a day off is called for but I have unmolded a stack of guest soaps this morning and they are drying so that counts as a days work doesn't it?

Okay that is enough rambling so take care everyone and be kind to each other.

Blessings
