Good Morning,
It has been a busy week here but I have only spent one day in the Soap Room making products.  The rest of the time has been spent sitting at the computer reworking out the costings of each and every product to get the best prices for you the customers.
In case you haven't read my Notice I have to do this now as I have no Margin left to absorb ingredient cost rises without having to pass it on to you.  It is just a fact of business and must be done periodically.
I will advise when I have finished this task and when the website and Facebook will be updated so if you want to order anything at the old prices to save money then please do this through either website or page but do it soon as I will probably finish my costings over this weekend.

We have been having some beautiful days weather wise and I have been spending a small amount of time as much as my shoulder and back will allow out in the garden.  I am pleased to say that it is starting to look much better around my yard as I have hired someone to come in and do regular mowing and other jobs that I cannot do.  That leaves me the tidying up and growing of things.  This week the native trees all had attention lavished on them as I loosened the ground around their base and added some water aiding stuff as well as some slow release fertiliser to give them a boost.  My bottle brushes just need something as they are not flowering and not growing properly.  Next week I want to start on planting up my vegetable garden if the weather is good.  I have to go pick the rhubarb today and I picked 2 Asparagus spears this week...nom nom they were delicious and so will the rhubarb pie be when I cook it.

Do you like Hot Stuff!   There is a Chilli Festival being put on by Seaton Fire Chilli's at Murphy's Creek on 16th of October.  Not all stalls will be Chilli as I will be inside the hall with a table of as much stock as I can fit on there so if you are travelling through or live in the area or just want a great day out  come along and have some fun.  It is great for all the family starts at 10am and goes until 5pm.  Hope to see you there.  Check out their website/Facebook Murphy's Creek Chilli Festival you won't be disappointed.

I made some Ylang Ylang Soap this week and the more I use this essential oil the more I like the scent.  I think it is a very soft very feminine scent and it also an air of mystique as it seems to float through the air and stay around.   Have you tried it before?   Soap won't be ready for a few weeks but I just go the door of the Soap Room and love to smell it.   Keep your eyes out as will be adding it once it has cured and is ready for labelling.

I also made a Peppermint Aloe Vera soap and this is another one that I love not only the scent of it but the smooth texture that the Aloe gives to it.  MY skin feels so silky soft after using this one also.   I almost lost this batch as I ran into a problem with my stick blender breaking so this batch is a little rough looking as I ended up plonking it in the crockpot so that I could cook it and stir with my big spoon.  I now have a brand new stick blender and the soap is cut and sitting on the curing rack.....win to me.

That is all for today so stay well and be kind to each other.

Blessings

Good Morning,
Well the pressure is off as the 2 day event has come and gone.  We travelled up on Friday with the car absolutely loaded and it poured most of the way until we were about 2 klms away from the venue and it was just a spittle now and then.  So lucky as we were able to get everything in the hall without getting anything wet.   My records show that it was a successful event for me so will try other shows of this type if I can get into them.

I must be in downtime mode this week as just can't get motivated to go into the Soap Room and start restocking those items that need it.  We have been out to medical appointments everyday as well so maybe that has something to do with it.  I like to get the house tidied up and then get into the Soap Room.  Guess my routine is out of whack so my mind has switched off.

Do you like Chilli?   There is a new festival happening in October at Murphy's Creek so if you are a fan of Chilli then you need to attend this one.  It is being advertised at the moment so check it out on Facebook and Instagram.  I will be there with a smaller set up in the hall.  It is called Murphys Creek Chilli Festival on Sunday 16th October.  Come and try Chilli Chocolate and Chilli Lip Balm among other hot products.

There is very heavy clouds hanging around today and every now and then there is a small shower of rain.  I did some weeding in the garden late yesterday and to my amazement the ground is only damp down to about an inch so we need more rain and I must water more often as my tanks are running over now.   The garden is growing well but I have to get some more weeding done as they are taking over the yard.   Because of my shoulder and back problems I can only do an hour at a time but hopefully that will be enough overtime.   I am getting someone in to do the heavier work as can't do it myself anymore so am hoping that he will have spare time to help with other jobs as well.    Glad I don't live further up north as it would be like a jungle.

Well that is all for my rambling today so take care and be kind to each other.  Please be careful driving with the wet and slippery roads as well.

Blessings.

Good Morning,
I am breathing a big sigh of relief this morning as I have finished hand writing and sticking code/price tags onto every product that I am taking to the 2 day Geham Craft and Garden Show this weekend.  Not a lot more to do now just have to finish my stocktake and pack everything in my car.
Oh dear now that is going to be a mammoth task as I have so much extra stock packed and ready to go just hope it all fits but I don't have tables to take as am using the schools bigger tables.

Will do a pretend setup later just to make sure I can fit everything on the tables although they are much bigger than what I use so fingers crossed it all ends up looking like a professional window dresser has done the set up and not a hodge podge of stuff everywhere.

Weather is not looking the best at the moment and I have pegged my washing onto the movable clotheshorse and left it sitting on the patio until I see what is going to happen.  We had some lovely rain over the weekend enough to stop me going to my normal market and to overflow the garden tanks so that is a bonus going into our hot summer.  Normally they are nearly empty by this time of the year as this is our dry time but I am not complaining and we do have town water connected which I use as a last resort on the garden due to the chemicals they fill our water supply with.

I am ashamed of my garden at the moment as it is so full of weeds even though they are green I know they shouldn't be there just haven't had the time to get out there and get rid of them but all that will change now that I have finished getting everything done so look out weeds here I come in between all this rain they say we are going to be getting during Spring.  LOL!

In the soap room from next week I will be busy making those cute little sheep soaps from the AWASSI Sheep MIlk and also have planned to do some more Ylang Ylang Soap for a very dear customer who loves it and is having a few health issues.  Then I guess I will be starting the restock rounds to replace those that are sold over the weekend in preparation for Christmas Sales as that is not far away.   Goodness me how time flies.

Are you interested in Gift Packs for giving to friends and families I do put together Gift Baskets as requested and have recently made up one that was used in a raffle to raise funds for Isolated Children's Parent Association out at Alpha.  Do hope it raised lots of money for this group.  If you need a lovely Basket full of natural handmade products just send a pm or contact form  with details and I will take it from there.  You can choose the products or I can which ever you want.  They can be a bag for smaller gifts or as big a basket as you want just ask.

Well enough I must away and start counting.

Have a great day everyone and be kind to each other.

Blessings

Good Morning,
Yay!  I have finished making all products and they are all labelled and shrink wrapped.  Just need to have code stickers on them and I am ready for the Geham Craft and Garden show. I have been flat out since returning from our trip firstly wrapping around 500 soaps then making god knows how many jars and bottles of lotions and potions.  I also managed to fill all orders including a couple of wholesaler large ones and release a couple of new products.
Now you know why I have been so quiet on here as have had tunnel vision and nightmares of not being ready for the show.
Will know in a week whether it has all been worth this mammoth effort .

Have noticed that there are a few New Likers since I last looked at the list on Facebook so a BIG WELCOME to you all and hope you
will forgive me for ignoring you.  Check out all the folders either on the website or on Facebook and if you need any help then in box or Email me or you can use the Contact Us form on the website.
I usually check all several times a day depending what is going on.
There a several ways of ordering and paying and we do free delivery for any orders over $25 or if under that amount we charge $5 delivery fee.

If you have any suggestions on how to improve things or a new product you would like to see then also get in touch as I am always interested in what people want to use.  I also make some products only when they are ordered like Bath Milk and Bath Salts as I like them fresh for you so they will only be on my stall at any Markets I do if I have made way to much for an order.

My poor garden is so neglected and so many weeds out there that after next week I have to spend some time out there.  At least the rhubarb has started to grow again and we had such a mild winter here that the capsicums are still alive and still fruiting.  a few herbs and lots of weeds plus the dreaded couch grass all through the beds.  I have dug up the turmeric and also sweet potatoes so those areas look clear and stand out like a desert does.  I have Milk Thistles out there almost as high as me and have been giving some of them to the neighbour for his birds so that got rid of them.
I only hope the weather stays pleasant so I can get outside and get into it a little each day would be good.

Well that is all for now.  Stay well and be kind to each other.

Blessings.

Good Morning,
I was due to resume a Market today but at 4am the weather was not looking good so I decide to go back to bed.  Imagine my surprise when I woke up 2 hours later and there was hardly a cloud and the sky was blue and sparkling as the sun came up but then the winds came  and the clouds are rolling in again so that makes me feel like I made the right decision after all.

Seeing that we didn't go the Market I decided to spoil us and we have just finished pancakes for breakfast...yum!   We only have butter on them as Ivan is diabetic but the are still delicious.  I have this special pan just for them and it is a beauty never fails me.
So now I have a spare day and am going to finish off labelling and shrink wrapping the last few products ready for the Geham Craft and Garden show.   Then all I have to do is write out the little identifier codes and stick them on as I pack everything.  In the mean time I have appointments to get out of the way and another trip to my supplier.  Busy, Busy keeps me out of trouble.

I have been trying to do a scrapbook of our last trip nothing fancy as that is not me but I am finding it so hard to decide which photos to use as I want to have them all in.  We seem to be photo taking maniacs and there are close to 400 pics of birds animals and places.  It is starting to come together but will be larger than I thought.   I also collect postcards and they go in the album as well then I do some journaling and voila my trip album is done.   so glad I share my trip as I go on Facebook with descriptions as this helps me as I do each page.  I don't hand write my journal but type it up and stick it on the relevant page.  Can't do much writing as have had carpel tunnel operation and now have arthritis in the wrist and thumb so that restricts me besides being left handed my writing is hard to read anyway.

In the soap room I still have to take photos and a description for a new product.  Maybe today that will happen if I get organised and do it while it is sunny.  Being  sunny makes for better photos even though I take them inside I always place the light tent under the skylight for some filtered natural light.  Shh! don't tell anyone my secrets will you.   Nothing much else to do in there but I do have to do some cleaning up and sorting out in there as things are everywhere and it makes it hard to find stuff when needed.   This maybe a job for later in the month as to much going on at the moment.  I wonder what treasures I will find that I forget I have when I do my clean up.   Actually I need to spring clean the whole house but that is another story.

Okay I must away now and get on with all this work I am planning so take care and be kind to each other.

Blessings
