Hello Everyone,

Sorry I have been very quiet this last week.  I lost my little dog Berny as he squeezed out under the gate while he was outside having a pee walk and I was sweeping the verandah.  I saw him go under the gate but by the time I was half way down the drive he had been hit by a car that was coming to fast around the corner.
It was such a shock and I was so upset that nothing much was done all week.  RIP Berny We will never forget you.

This week I have had to catch up with sending out orders and replacing soap stock.  I had one large order that took almost every bar that I had of several  soaps so these needed to be replaced as well.  I was up and in the soap room at 5am this morning and made most of the replacement logs today.  Feeling pretty accomplished as there was quite a variety but all plain colors or no color so that was easy as well.   Now I have to wait to unmold them, clean them up then cut them so they can cure before being wrapped and ready for sale.

I am excited as well as this weekend we will be going to the Toowoomba Farmer's Market at the showground for the first time.  So if you are in the area come and say hi and check out my stall.  It is an outside Market so sure hope these storms we are sort of experiencing the last few days have cleared off by then.   I say sort of as we seem to be on the very edge of them and just getting a little bit of rain.  I don't care as any rain is good rain but like it dry when we are doing a market.

We had our day trip away last Sunday.  I was out looking for Dandelions in flower but only spotted a few in places where it was impossible to pull up the car so came home empty handed.  It was a lovely day out and we stopped by Beardy Waters to have a picnic lunch so enjoyed it.  Will be doing a trip this week as well as need to go and see my supplier and get some more oils and butters.

Well that is all so please take care and be kind to each other.

Blessings.

Good Morning,
Today is acatch up day as I leave all the housework and Market unpacking until then whenever I do a weekend market.  It usually takes me a few hours to get into the swing of it all but today I have been up and done the washing and mopped the laundry and kitchen out already yay! go me even with a terrible back ache and sore shoulders.  Next is vaccum the lounges and the mats.  If you knew Berny you would understand why this is almost a daily task in this house.

Thank you to all those who braved yesterday to come out to Queens Park Markets.  When we left home just before 5am the morning was beautiful but once we went up the range the fog rolled in but didn't last long as the Southerly wind soon dispersed it and blew in the clouds.  It was pretty chilly and only the brave come without a coat on.  Still we were roped down very tight so there were no mishaps and this time I remembered my rope covers to warn the customers away so they wouldn't trip.  Even though the day was quiet we had a fun day as a lot of doggies were out for their stroll in the park.

In the soap room later I will be making a couple of restock soaps some more deodorant for me.  Would anyone like to try my deodorant as a tester? and do a review on it?   I only make it for me so far but if there is any interest I could be persuaded to make enough to sell it.  As you all know I am anti chemical and am always on the look out for remedies I can make and use myself.  I have a couple of others that I make for me but am working on some that should be able to add as stock so keep watching this space.
If you are like minded and want to eliminate some chemicals from use in your home here is a good cleaner to try.  50/50  dishwashing liquid and vinegar preferably white.  It is great for cleaning tiles and shower glass as well I clean my fridge and dishwasher, oven and windows but for the windows/mirrors stove top or whatever you need to polish it off with a clean damp cloth and then a dry one.  Can use less dish liquid so as not to be to sudsy on the glass as well.   Give it a go and see if it works for you.

OK that is all for today so Happy Cleaning and be kind to each other
Blessings.

Good Morning,

Such a lovely morning here just a little breeze blowing and beautiful sunshine.
I have already been in the kitchen and made a batch of Peanut Butter Biscuits as well as cooked some apples for a pie later now to head into the soap room and get some work done in there.

Spent yesterday making Camel Milk soap and also Lotions so today I am making goats Milk soap.  Also have been prepping soaps for labelling and shrink wrapping so as you can see there is always something going on in my Soap Room so that I can always have the products you love on hand for your orders and the Markets.

I yielded yesterday and had someone come and trim up a few shrubs and bushes in my garden.  I have been meaning to do it myself for weeks but my aches and pains and bad back have prevented me from doing as much as the garden needed.  I am so pleased I did as now I can get on with the mulching and raking as that seems to be my limit at this time of the year.
My garden will soon be looking great and ready to face the stinking hot summer that we are constantly reminded is coming.

I am off for a day visit to the tablelands after this weeks market.  You will never ever guess why so I will tell you.  I want to wild gather Dandelion flowers and they are very prolific on the tablelands and not so much here where I live.  I infuse the flowers in oil and then along with calendular flowers infused as well in another oil I make the most beautiful Dandy soap.  It is all natural and is so popular that I am almost out of the last lot I made.  It will be a lovely day as we will head off early with our coffee and a picnic lunch also Berny will be having a day out as he loves going for car rides.

We have had some bad storms go all around us the last few days.  We need the rain but I don't like the severity of some of the storms so breathe a sigh of relief and a prayer that everyone who is in their path stays safe.
I have been around the yard and made sure anything that can become a flying object is either put away or anchored down.  I feel sorry for mummy Frogmouth who is sitting way up in the top of our brigalow trees as the tops get swirled around so much.  she should have babies by now but this year we cannot see them as she has nested so much higher than the last few years.

Well that is today's ramble so I am now heading off into the Soap room
Stay safe in everything you do and remember be kind to each other.

Blessings.

Good Morning,
After being very busy the last few weeks things have slowed down in the soap room so I have been out in the garden catching up on much needed work as well as Spring Cleaning the house.  It is still cool here of a morning and I find it the best time to really get out and do all the heavier jobs in the garden although this year I am getting someone in as well to do pruning and clear off the shed roof as I just cannot do everything in the time I have.
Just one of the downside of things of getting older I guess.

We had a lovely time out at Mulgowie Markets last weekend and once again the weather was a total surprise as it was supposed to be a few showers and there was nothing but beautiful sunshine the whole time.  As it was the long weekend there were quite a few campers there in their caravans and what a lovely spot they picked overlooking all the farm paddocks and the beautiful hills in the background.  If only my rescued doggy was more people and dog friendly we would take the van out there and stay overnight as well.

I am going to be restocking the market boxes today as some lines just disappeared altogether off the tables last weekend then I am off to the chiropractor  and onto Office Works to restock my paper and Ink supplies.
My brochures need reprinting and wouldn't you know it the printer wants more ink just as I want to do lots of printing.
All these little behind the scenes things that keep me on my toes and rushing  off in the car for half a day as shopping isn't right on my doorstep here but for me it is better than living in a town as I have a beautiful vista from my back fence looking out over the cow paddocks and the hills in the background.

I have only made 2 soaps this week and will put photos up when they are ready.  One was a Lavender made with Goats Milk and a little Coconut Milk as well but instead of trying to get an all over Lavender color as I never have much luck with that particular color so I just swirled a little color through the soap.  The other one was my Skintastic made with Emu  and Neem and lots of other goodies as I had run out of it altogether and someone wanted some.  It smells divine and is really good for skin rashes.  Will have to do a stocktake as I fill up boxes just in case I need some more of other soaps as well.  I just knew having a quiet week was to good to be true.

Well must away and get on with the housework before heading into the soap room so I hope you all have a very happy week and be kind to each other.

Blessings.

Good Morning,

Last chance today to get yourself a great bargain as SALE here on the website closes at 5pm.  Most things have been reduced so get some lovely products at a cheaper price.  All orders will be posted  or delivered by Friday.

In the soap room I have been busy the last couple of days replenish products that were getting low and with Christmas shopping already starting I need to keep products coming along so you the customer can get your gift shopping done with the minimum of fuss.
It is keeping me busy and on Monday I had to work around having the electrician in replacing all the fans in the house and installing a new one over my shrink wrapping area.  I never realised how bad the old ones were until I turned on all the new ones and nearly was blown out the door.  My they are fast even on the low setting and the lights are so much better.  It is wonderful to walk into a room and actually have it bright enough to do anything especially in the soap room as I was using a floor standing light  over my filling up bench just so I could see when a jar was full and not have product going everywhere.

Today I am off to get my hair cut and then we go off to Toowoomba to do some deliveries then when I come home more labelling and shrink wrapping
to get done.  Never a dull moment in this place I can tell you.

School goes back on Tuesday here in Qld so don't forget that with the warmer weather the head lice will become more active so be prepared by getting the School special here which includes Nit Zapper shampoo Bar, Lotion and also Forget me Knots hair detangler and all for $15 plus postage
This has got to be a great buy as it is also all natural.   You can repeat this as many times as you like and the lotion works as a lovely conditioner as well.

Must be away now as want to have a coffee first then off to the hairdresser
Have a great day and remember be kind to each other.

Blessings.
