Good Morning,

Oh such a lovely cool breeze is blowing this morning after the storms of yesterday. We didn't get any of the storm except for 2 mls of rain after dark
and very strong winds around 3pm when I was out watering the garden. The wind almost knocked me off my feet.
My heart goes out to all those who were in the storms path and sustained damage as it looked really bad when it went aroud us and quite frankly this is one I am glad we missed as the hail and wind damage was so bad. I was thinking of all the solar panels on my roof and could imagine the mess.

No Markets this weekend as i am due to see the doctor again re the cancer on my face. I will probably have to have more cut out but won't know for sure until tomorrow. Starting to feel a bit apprehensive as having been through it once I know what I have to go through and I am such a wimp also when it comes to needles but I will endure as we do.

All parcels have been posted or delivered so if you want to place an order my decks are cleared and you will get priority service.hehehe! can't ask for better than that. Seriously if you want a gift for a teacher or nurse or anyone else then just pm me and you will have it as soon as possible.
Gift packs and bags can be as little as one bar of soap or any $ value you want to nominate.

Ok I am off to run the mower over the leaves and tidy the grass up

Good Morning,

Oh! it looked so promising yesterday as the clouds rolled in from lunchtime but sadly we had a few drops as the storm headed south. It even looked like hail so much that we covered up Ivan's little car that sits in the driveway.
Oh well the clouds and breeze made it much more bearable so that was a plus.

In the Soap Room there is no work being done but I am not being idle as still wrestling with labels for the Facial Bar. Have settled on the design I showed you a couple of days ago for this batch at least. Then when the next batch is made I am going to go with a completely new shape for the soap so it will all begin again. It will still be a half round but a little longer in the cut so that it fits in one's hand better. I think this one is a tad to small and would like anyone who buys one to give me some feedback.

Have you been getting my Stocking Stuffer Posts? I hope so as there has been some great bargains in them. Prices have been reduced but it is only for Facebook Orders so check them out and leave a comment on anyone or you will drop off the facebook list. Silly idea but that is what happens.
Don't forget there is free delivery for those who live in the local areas so go have a look what have you got to lose.

I was checking last night as to what Markets are left before Christmas and if you do your shopping at a Market then there is only 4 more that I attend before Christmas closing time. OMG! there is also only 4 Saturdays to go so you had better get going or you will miss out.

I am out and about to do deliveries this morning so will be checking out another Coffee Shop as well. Love doing this as get to know all the little shops out there and it is a pleasure to support them. Love my Coffee.

Hello Everyone,

I have been out and about this morning as we had to take the Camping fridge over to get repaired. Lost the power side of things so while we are staying home will get it fixed ready for next time.

Took a short drive on the way back home just to check out some farms close to where i live. It is so dry and the dust coming off the road as a small car flew past me to fast was dreadful. I feel so sorry for the poor farmers and more so for the animals if any left on dry brown paddocks as there is nothing left for them to eat. I know it is dry everywhere but I have never seen it as bad as this time so wish we could get some rain to ease the plight of these poor animals. I am doing all I can for the wild life around my little patch but will have to look further a field to see what can be done to help others.
I did take part last year in giving donations for Farmers Care packages so and have done other donations through out the year so must check and see what is happening this year.

Finished making the Cool Ties yesterday so they will be posted off later
to their new owner. Also worked on a new label for the soon to be released Facial Soap so tell me what you think of the pic down the bottom here.
Would love some feed back or if you have a better idea please leave me a comment. Still have another idea I am working on but it is taking a while to do so may not be viable.

Today I am making my Laundry liquid. I use all my soap scraps and trimmings and make this liquid for my front loader as it is not as soapy as commercial liquids and is better for the environment as no sulphates and other bad things. I do have to use an Oxy wash with it to keep my clothes white but only a small amount each load. I even use my soap as a prewash to remove stains and marks that won't come off in the wash. I have an ice cream container with soap scraps in it and add a small amount of water to make it soft and slushy. I rub this slushy soap on any stain and then pop it into the machine and voila no stain left. Sometimes have to do it a couple of times .

Good Morning,

We had a very hot weekend with no rain at all. There was a lovely lightning show one night off in the distance but nothing came even close to us here.
I am glad my vegetables are growing under shade cloth this year as they would be crispy by now with the hot dry winds and the burning sun.

Luckily for us it was a market free weekend as I hate having to cancel but just could be sitting out in that heat either. No markets next weekend as well as I have to visit the doctor and hopefully get the rest of this Lymphoma removed from my face. Not looking forward to it as having been through it once I now know what to expect although they do say that forewarned is forarmed or something like that don't they.

This week I will be busy designing a new package for the soon to be released Facial Bar. Thank you to anyone who took the time to comment on my question re full or half round bar. I will be trying the half bar for the first time and see how that goes hence the new packaging required. I have been busily checking out Pin Interest and other sites looking for ideas so we will see what I can come up with.
I also and making some Cool Neck ties for a customer. I used to sell them but have not had any available for sometime so when I received a request for them had to scramble around and find some suitable material and make some more. I don't like disappointing customers so if I can do it I will.

Have you been checking out the Stocking Stuffer Posts. I do several a day of different products and using the FB information of how many people see the posts for research. Results are not very promising as Facebook doesn't like
showing posts to the masses unless it is paid for so if you want to keep seeing my Rambles and any posts I may do then please keep liking or commenting on some of them otherwise you disappear from my page or I dissappear from your viewable posts.

Friday Ramble

Good Morning,

Thank Goodness I have managed to get my washing and housework done as my neck and back are giving me hell today. I am sitting here with my TENS machine on my shoulders to try and ease the muscles off but not working as yet so may have to resort to laying down with rolled towel along my spine. If that doesn't work then drugs it is.

Feeling excited today as have just sourced a new liquid for soap making
but have to wait until nearly Xmas before I get it. I cannot tell you what it is yet as it is a secret but as soon as I can I will tell you all about it.

I received a new shipment of my carry bags yesterday so want to get my labels on them ready for using at the markets. I had them delivered direct from supplier instead of me driving in the traffic almost to Brisbane. Wish I had done it earlier as is so much easier.
I use the plain brown ones as they are is more enviromentally friendly - less bleaching but this year I have Christmas stickers for the December Markets only just because I can.

I have even bought some fairy lights for my stall as will be doing a twilight market and even though I am inside need a bit more light to make it stand out a bit. I think my stall is boring as I have so many products and my tables are to full hence next year I will be culling a few things. No more crocheted towels for a start after the ones I have are all gone. Colleen has taken back what bags I had left and my knitting is getting cut back as well mainly because of arthritis and it is to painful to do for very long. That should give me more room in the car as well.

Good Morning,

Well we had some rain yesterday a whole 2.5 mls unlike some of the Brisbane suburbs and surrounding areas as they had a deluge. The garden liked it and it laid the dust on the driveway so am not complaining.
It is still cloudy and a bit humid but there is a nice little breeze blowing.

My house is smelling lovely this morning, no I am not making soap but have my Christmas cake in the oven. I was out of bed at 5am so that I could get it mixed and in the oven just in case it decide to get hot today. It is nearly cooked and looking pretty good. Now I will soak the fruit in alcohol for my Pudding and make that as soon as we get another morning that is not to humid.

Did you see the sneak preview of the soon to be released Facial Bar. If not check it out and let me know your answer to my question pretty please as your input is very helpful. Also check out all the stocking stuffers for ideas for your Christmas Presents. I have posted out a few of the Rudolph soaps already but still have more available and the Oil Diffusers seem to be popular as well.

I have started to think about next years products already also so if there is anything you want please don't hesitate to ask and I will do some research and advise if I can make it at all. My range will not be as big in the soap line as I am starting to cut back on some of the flavors to make room on my display for new ones. It is hard to carry everything to every Market as one only has so much room both in the car and on the tables. I keep trying out new arrangements to try and fit more in but it just doesn't work well sometimes.

Good Morning,

It is looking like a promise at the moment for rain I mean. 7.30am and already 30 degrees and very muggy so fingers crossed that it does happen. My water tanks are empty and I am using town water on the garden now so need rain to put some water in the tanks and to fill up the big cracks happening in the yard.

Did you see yesterdays post about me wanting your opinions on a facial soap. No one has commented yet so if you haven't seen it could you check it out and make a comment on it please.

Not long now to Christmas is it. I have been putting up Stocking Stuffers I call them. Just qhick ideas for presents in case you get stuck some are a Special Price others are normal Price so hope you are finding them helpful.

Good Morning,

Much cooler here today but very muggy. I have been out and done the shopping while I can enjoy it. Hoping we will get some much needed rain sometime this week and please god not just wispy bits as it is not very much help at all.

Did you see my attempt at Reindeer Soaps yesterday. They are only on Facebook so why not check out my page and don't forget to like the page while you are there and maybe Facebook will be kind enough to notify you whenever I do a post. Most of them have been sold already so if you want some or would like different colors please let me know.
It is hard work getting Facebook to recognize us small guys who don't have big bucks to spend on advertising. I have tried with pics without pics, adding pics in comments but nothing seems to work not even getting lots of people to put a dot or a smiley face so will just have to resign myself to having a small audience on here. I am not even sure if the same people see the posts all the time or it is a different range each time. Who knows or can understand what Facebook's logic is.

I tested out my new Facial Bar yesterday and was pleasantly surprised as it is a soft fluffy
luxurious lather and leaves my face feeling moisturised. It should be ready for release in a couple of weeks so keep your eye out for it. It is a full round bar but wondering if maybe a half round would be big enough to use. What do you think Full or Half? Please leave a comment on Facebook or you can comment on this blog on the website. Come on I really would like some opinion on this one. I will clean a couple of bars up and put a pic up later to show you what I mean.

Don't forget also I have Gift Bags and Baskets ready to go when required all you need do
is in box me and they are made up immediately ready for delivering or posting whatever you require.

Monday Ramble

Good Morning,

Day 4 of our long weekend from Hades. Oh Boy! didn't think I was going to make it. I hate the heat but when I checked the thermometer on Saturday at 4.30pm it was 44 degrees on the patio and that made me feel hotter.
Luckily we have Air conditioning and with the Solar Panels on the roof it allows us to use it more often without costing an arm and a leg.
Yesterday was almost as hot but there was a strong wind chopping around so sometimes it was a cooling force and other times not. Thank Goodness it will be cooler (hopefully) for a few days.

I had every fan going in the soap room and it still reached 32 degrees so lucky I had nothing planned for making in there as Soap gets hot enough without the room getting hot as well.

I will be working on some cuteness this week that will make nice little gifts
Hoping they will turn out ok if I am not all thumbs so will put pics up when I get some made. They would be great for a Teachers end of year gift or as a stocking stuffer as will suit all ages. Can't tell you anymore as I have to see if I can do them first.

I didn't do markets this weekend due to the heat but if you need anything just email,pm or use the contact form on the website and I will get your order.
Remember there is not a lot of shopping time left.

Good Morning,

It has been a busy few days in the Soap room this week replenish floor stock as some products were getting quite low. I like to wait until I am in the mood and then it is full on as I usually do the lot together.

Things are warming up here this week and by the weekend it will be 41 degrees on Saturday
in Ipswich so will probably get to around 44 out here. I was doing a Market in Toowoomba on Sunday but have just seen on their Facebook page that it will be 41 up there. Not good so will probably be giving it a miss as I can't sit out i that for 5-6 hours. Will have to wait and see as one can never believe what the weather bureau says can one. They always seem to be to late or way off track with their forecasts.

How is your Christmas preparations going. I have made a start and will be making our Christmas Cake and Pudding in the next few days. The fruit is soaking in alcohol at the moment and I stir it every day. I made chocolate coated prunes and creme filled chocolates yesterday but I still am not really in the Christmas mood yet but it will happen. Have to get down the Christmas decorations for the Market Stall and see what needs replacing then I can decorate the stall and that will help. I don't put my Tree up until after December 1 as December is the Christmas month in my mind.

Having said that don't forget if you want a Gift Pack of any kind this Christmas just PM me your requirements and together we can make one up.
