Good Morning,

Well I have been so busy that I decided to take a break and sit down with a nice glass of iced tea so that I could catch up on my Ramblings.   I am trying to be very disciplined in getting my work done so each morning before breakfast I spend an hour out in the garden trying to tidy it up.  At present I am pulling some horrible high grass I call it crows feet as it has a seed head that looks like it has toes on it anyway it is really on the neighbours place but so close to the fence it doesn't matter I just want to get it out.  I am also pruning those purple centred daisies as they have finished flowering and are very leggy so a good chop back and some feeding and they will be blooming again soon.

After breakfast it is housework time and this week I have been moving the furniture and steam mopping all the floors.  didn't know my house was so big so ended up splitting it into a couple of days as was to much for my poor back after all the bending in the garden.  Anyway it is all done and most of the curtains have been washed and rehung as well.  Go me.

Once all that is done then I have time to go into the soap room and get any orders done and start making whatever is planned on the calendar for that day.  Lately it has been guest soaps as have had two large orders to fill and still going on them but also have been making logs of Soap to cut into bars for the Market boxes.   The most popular bar soap seems to still be my plain Goat Milk with Lemon Myrtle and Peppermint followed by Lavender Goats Milk.  Also all the plain Milk Soap Shapes.

My Bugs Away  Lotion is another popular product especially at this time of the year as the bugs are driving me insane and it would seem everyone else as well.  I made a mistake the other day and went out to water the garden late afternoon without rubbing some on my legs.  Something got into my sock and stung me but I couldn't find anything when I looked.  I think it was a green ant but whatever it was I now have a huge hard lump on the side of my calf and it is inflamed.  I have been using some of my healing balms on it to stop it itching and the swelling is starting to go down but there is still a lump about egg size.  Would like to know what it was though.

I made my Christmas cake this week also.  Oh boy it sure smelt nice through out the house will now make another one and then do a pudding as well.  The mix I do for the pudding is huge so I split it in two and share this and the 2nd cake with a friend as she hates to cook where as I love it.

With the hot weather starting up in earnest now just a reminder to put water out for our feathered and furry friends so they have something to drink as well.  I have dishes under trees and in the gardens through out my yard and it is lovely to watch all the birds coming in.  Some just for a quick stop over while others that live ere in the trees take leisurely baths.  The magpies believe in communal baths as there was four of them in one bowl the other day while the squeakies like to bath solo.  Even an old Ibis comes in and drinks from the plant  saucer under the stand.  I love to see him here as he sticks his big beak down the holes in the bricks that line the garden beds and gets grubs out.  Organic control to a T.

Well that is enough of a ramble for today.  Take Care and look after each other.

Blessings

Good Morning ,

Wow! Can you believe how fast this year has flown  and it is not just us oldies saying this so everyone is noticing it even te enagers must be the hectic lifestyles we lead.

We had a few days off last week and the weather was lovely after those days of extreme humidity and high temperatures it was welcomed with open arms.  I had an order to deliver down near Stanthorpe so we went down the New England dropped the order off then continued down to Glen Innes and went down the Gibralter Range to the coast.   It was quite windy but that is always the case around the beach I think but there were some strong gusts in patches along the highway and I had to fight the car to keep it straight on the road.   We did what we had to do visited a few rellies went to the cemeteries then played tourist for a few hours and visited the Big Banana and a place called the Clog Barn where we watched a chap making a clog.  That was interesting but then so were the water dragons out on the verandah where we had morning tea.

Now it is back to reality so I have been out raking the leaves and spraying the weeds while there is no wind.  Have to do the spraying early as last year I lost all my little mini roses from weed spray drift but not sure if that was my fault or from the neighbors anyway they all died.

I also have to get busy in the soap room as need to do more restocking of product.  I have some ready for wrapping or almost ready will check them as well as need more Lemongrass and Lavender Soap in the Market Boxes before Christmas so had better get busy or Christmas will be here before I start.
Don't forget that my Soaps and Body Products can make a lovely inexpensive Teacher's Gift.  Just let me know it is a gift and I will wrap it prettily or put it in a lovely little bag for you.  You can order online - Facebook or the website or pick it up from any of the markets I go to.  Keep an eye out on Facebook as I always post which Market I will have a stall at.  Next week we are trying out a new market up at Cabarlah so if you are in the area pop in and see us.

Well that is all for now.  So remember to take care and be kind to each other.

Blessings

Good Morning,
Sorry I have been very quiet lately but there has been so much going on in the soap room that I have not had the time to be on the computer also had to go buy a new computer as the screen hinges broke on my one and it was difficult to use.
I now have a fantastic HP one a bit bigger and oh so much easier and better to use and almost have everything set up how I want it.  Not bad for a novice if I do say so myself.

I have finished all orders received and they are all posted away except for one that I will deliver next week on our way South for a few days.  Yes I am taking a few days off as need to recharge the batteries for the rest of this summer season.  Next week is the only week that there are no appointments for health checks etc and so we ca go away with clear conscience will only be for a few days as we have Markets both weekends.  Any orders will be dealt with when we get back.

In between making 700 guest soaps I have been able to make restock logs and they are drying so I can have them there ready once I label etc.  I still have mountains of guest soaps to make but that is for early next year so will start soon and they should be well on the way by the time Xmas is over and done with.

If you require a teacher gift for the end of school year then I have the ideal ones and can make up some lovely gift bags and packs for you so just pm me and tell me how much you would like to spend plus any preferences and I will put one together for you.
It is hard to believe that another year is gone and we are at the gift shopping stage again but time waits for no one.

We had some beautiful rain yesterday in a fierce storm that went through our area with a small amount of hail but no damage done and all the water has soaked into the ground.  Luckily I had applied Horse poo around in the morning and now it is nice and soft and will blend into the ground so much easier.  I have terrible soil here with clay base and about 4 inches of soil on the top so anything I can add into the ground I do.  My flame trees are losing all their leaves so I have been out this morning before breakfast and raked up all the leaves and they are now residing in the compost bin.  Nothing goes to waste around here and my garden is starting to produce some lovely flowers and vegetables now.

Well that is all for today I am off to do my housework then head into the Soap Room for todays episode.

Take care and be kind to each other.

Blessings
