Good Morning,
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with good cheer, Family and Friends.  We spent a lovely day as well spoke on the phone to the family that didn't come home and then spent a lovely day with my friend Colleen.   We sat around eating and talking for most of the day then as we are both doing our family history I was able to do some searches and found out some information that Colleen hadn't been able to find.    It is such a good feeling when yu can fill in a gap doing family history.

In the soap room I am still labelling and wrapping cured soaps as well have some pure Goats Milk soaps to clean and trim then wrap these are going into bags that Colleen makes for Cancer patients that have to carry around drainage bottles.  After they are finished I will be making lots of soap for restocking the shelves.  I was really good in getting organised before christmas by ordering supplies before the warehouses close over the Christmas break.  Just have to get in some jars and bottles now for when I start on the lotions and cremes.

One of the soaps I have just labelled and wrapped is the very popular Dandy Calendula Bar .  This soap is all natural as I pick the dandelions from my backyard and also had some from a customer these are then infused in sunflower oil.  I also have Olive Oil infused with Calendula flower petals.  These oils are combined with other oils and some May Chang Essential Oil to make a lovely creamy soothing fresh scented soap.  If you haven't tried it you really are missing out on a great soap.   I have just collected todays flowers and they are drying in the dehydrator.  Future batches may be a bit darker in color as the calendulas I have growing now have some quite orange flowers as well as the yellow.

Well I had better close as I have so much work I want to get done today and Ivan said something about mowing but I think cricket will win out over the mowing so I planned other things to do just in case.  Just as well as I am flexible and can work anywhere anytime isn't it.

Stay safe on the roads if you are out and about also remember be kind to each other.

Good Morning,

I am feeling weary this morning as had two very early mornings over the weekend to go to the Markets normally I only do one a weekend but have two doubles in the last 5 weeks due to Christmas and timing I guess.  Now I have 2 months off from the Markets and will be busy restocking almost every product I make plus researching new products and testing new scents for soaps.  I do have a couple that I have not made before so keep your eyes out for new releases sometime in late January.

What do you have planned for Christmas and are you ready as only a few more days to go.   We are having a very quiet Christmas and as it is supposed to be raining and mild weather I will be cooking the traditional hot
lunch.  This year we are having a Turducken. It is all deboned and consists of a turkey then a duck then a chicken stuffed and rolled together so will be interesting to see what it is like.  We will have home grown sweet potato and potatoes as I have just finishe digging the potatoes up and have a 10 litre bucket almost full of nice little ones to use.  Some lovely pumpkin and carrots with lots of nice gravy then for desert my homemade Christmas pudding and Brandy Custard.  I am hoping the pudding is ok as I made a different recipe and split into 2 puddings then steamed them in bowls.  They look and smell ok so here is hoping.

Don't forget if you want any products while we are having our Market break that you can order from the website and pay by Paypal or use the contact form and you can pay by direct debit or you can PM me on facebook and I will send you an invoice for Direct Debit as well.   Paypal does not include any postage but I can send you an invoice through Paypal once I have your order packed and weighed to work out how much it is.

Well that is all for todays Ramble so have a good one and remember be kind to each other.

Good Morning,
I am having a lazy day today well sort of at least.  We did a Market in the rain yesterday something I normally avoid as with soap you certainly don't want to get it wet.
I had some orders that were to be picked up so had to go anyway and it turned out a great day as well.  The rain was lovely steady rain so didn't blow in on my stock much just around the ends of the tables closest to the front but I was able to cover them with some plastic that I carry for just such an occasion.
It was so lovely to see so many customers come out in the rain.  They were enjoying it as well as it was needed to get the feed up and green again.

Talking about feed last week was the Buy a Bale Market in Toowoomba and while it was apparently a fairly quiet Market Kara the organiser did manage to rais over $1000 to help with buying hay for some of the drought stricken farmers.  Thanks to all those people who help support this worthy cause.
My friend Colleen and I made donations as She doesn't do markets anymore and I had a prior engagement.   We still like to give where we can and at the moment I am working .on doing soaps for bags Colleen is making that go to cancer patients.

Only 2 more Markets left then I go on a 2 month break.  This is where I catch upon my stock for the Market boxes for the next year.  Did you know that the process I use the soap has to sit for 4 - 6 weeks before it gets labelled and wrapped ready for the boxes to go to Markets.   The longer I leave it sit the better it gets as it not only hardens it also gets milder on your skin.  I have some already curing but have lots more that needs to be made.  If there are any that you would like please let me know and I will see what I can do.
Also while I am on my Market break you can still place an order online via the website or Facebook and I will post out or deliver if you are in my local area.

School holidays have started here in Queensland so please drive carefully and stay safe if you are travelling and remember be kind to each other

Blessings.

Good Morning,

Another bright sunny day here and I have been out weeding the garden before it gets to hot.  This time of the year the weeds are very hard to control as we have been getting a bit of rain in the storms so that and the heat and we have weeds popping up everywhere.   I still have to water my gardens as the winds start up around 7am every morning and they soon dry out the garden beds even though I have mulch.  I am lucky in that I have tanks and catch the rain water.

I bought some parrot nectar type food and have set up a feeding station next to the birdbath.  I have a small Bottle tree and a couple of May bushes in this strip of the garden and the parrots - Lorikeets and Green Scaly Breasts are in and out throught out the day.  I love watching them as both types are very bossy little birds and they squabble amongst themselves all the time.  So comical to watch.   I can do this now as Berny would never let a bird come into the yard before.

We had a pleasant morning at Mulgowie Markets on Saturday.  It was just an average one as far as sales went as I guess most people have finished their christmas shopping but it was lovely seeing everyone and chatting to them.
I even bought a new tree as my butterfly tree ( buddleah not sure how to spell it) has gone to god.  Poor thing was root bound in the pot when I planted and even though I undid as much as I could of the roots it stayed in a circle and only one root escaped but it grew along the ground not down into it.   Anyway it is now being replaced with a Chaste tree  as I just loved the mauvy blue flowers so here is hoping I can dig the hole big enough and it does well when I plant it.

Not much going on in the soap room this week.  I am just labelling and wrapping soaps  that are ready or making lotions and potions if they are to low in the stock count.
Don't forget that we do not do Markets in January and February as it is way to hot for the cremes and balms they get very runny plus I almost melt so we stay home but online is still available and we do free delivery.  I usually do some testing of new products during this time so if there is anything you would like me to make up just pm and I will do some research and let you know about it.

Well I guess that is all for my ramble today so be kind to each other and stay well until next time I do a Ramble.

Good Morning,
it is blowing a gale here at the moment as the southerly has just arrived.   Hope it doesn't rain for awhile as I have a clothes line full and it is almost dry.

At least the Southerly has cut down onto the humidity which is great as I have soaps to wrap and even running the dehumidifier in the soap room I feel they are still a bit to sticky to wrap up.  They are to restock the Market boxes after the huge weekend we had.   Dog soap was very popular and the Lavender Goats Milk as well plus I have sold out of the Avocado and Clay Facial Bar so now I am going to have it in the full round bar instead of a half round one.

I have been busy in the soap room this week mainly getting soaps ready to label and wrap but have also harvested and dried my herbs for the kitchen and now have a lovely lot of mixed herbs ready to use plus the dandelions and calendulas that I have found are also ready.    I have the flowers infusing already and will be infusing some Lemongrass to add to my Lemongrass soap next time I make it.
Isn't it great I have 2 passions soapmaking and gardening and never dreamt I would be combining both to enhance each other.   I am planning to make a Natural Range of Soaps next year.  They will be ones that I use natural colors from my plants and also clays etc.as well as Essential oils  only.  I have spoken of this before as in separating the Essential oil ones out from the flavor oils but want to take it one step further and maybe have an all natural folder as well.  What do  you think would you be interested if I did this.

I was surprised at how well the Vegan lipbalm sold over the weekend so will
be looking at making it a permanent product as well.  The only difference is it has Candelilla Wax in it instead of Bees Wax.  This means I have 3 types of lipbalm now as I make a plain with no flavor for sensitive skin then the normal flavors and now Vegan.  I think I will need another lip balm holder as well.
If any Vegans out there read this please let me know what other products you would like in the range as most of the soaps and body cremes are suitable as long as they don't have Milk of any kind in them but there is possibly something I don't make that you would like just let me know and I will do some research.

Well time awaits no man as they say and i want to get lots done today.  Have already done washing plus cooked a rhubarb pie, made biscuits also pancakes for Breakfast. Now housework then some product photography so keep a look out for them.

Stay safe and be kind to each other
Blessings.

Good Morning,
Well we did i t- two big Markets in one weekend and not a drop of rain until after we arrived home on both days.  I am feeling a little weary this morning but will be out in the soap room later to do stock take and see what I have to make for restocking.

Thank you to all the lovely people who stopped by our stall on both days and
chatted with us.  It was so lovely to see you all some regulars and lots of new faces.  So pleased to be able to help and advise you all about my great products  ( I think they are great at least ).
Remember there are some things I make on request only so that the ingredients are fresh for you.  Bath salts and Bath milk are just two that spring to mind so if you don't see something on my stall just ask and I will make it for you if I can.

Had some lovely feedback re healing balms yesterday and I did a little happy dance as I really hoped it would help the customer with her poor hands and it did.  Isn't that wonderful that she had some relief as her hands were very dry and red plus the skin looked like it was all peeling.  So glad it worked and hope she doesn't mind me metioning on here.  I love all the healing balms I make and each one helps different ailments.  I even used one of  them on my doggies if they got bitten on the paws by ants to give them some relief.

Just a reminder that we only have 3 or 4 more Market shopping days until Christmas is here and if you can't make it to any Markets then you can always shop online and we do free delivery if you are local Ipswich to Toowoomba on days we both agree on.
We don't do Markets January and February as I use this time to research,  experiment and hopefully come up with new ideas.  Online shopping is always open during this time if you run out of something.

I would like to ask a favour of everyone.  If you see a post from Wundanook please like it or make a comment on it as Facebook is limiting posts to mostly under 10 people seeing them which is very annoying because how do they know I am not wanting to advise of some important matters to ALL my likers.

Ok that is all my rambling for today so stay safe be well and remember to be kind to each other.

Blessings.
