We are back into the swing of things for going to Markets again.
1st Market my brain was scrambled as I couldn't remember how to firstly pack everything in the car and 2nd how I set up so it took me twice as long to do everything but this week everything went smoothly. It still took me longer than I would like but I made it in time for the customers to see everything.
It is still quite hot here mid 30's most days but nice breezes temper it slightly. We have been able to work out best practice for the awnings and the new sign is a big hit with everyone as they can see it from a long way and know exactly where we are. I am so pleased as I was undecided whether to get one or not. It stays on the gazebo when we pack it up thanks to a lovely lady at Bags N Swags that sewed the Velcro on to the gazebo skirt.
EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT
Have you ever heard of the Awassi Sheep ?
Well I hadn't either until several months ago now I am learning lots about them as I am making soaps from their lovely milk and also selling other products made by the owner of these very versatile sheep. They are a meat and milk sheep and their wool can also be used for carpet making wool.
Soap will not be available for a few weeks yet but the milk is chock full of minerals and vitamins as well as being high in butterfats. I have only made plain soaps so far same as the Goat and Camel Milk soaps as so many people have sensitivity to colors and scents in soaps but have been thinking that I should now start experimenting with colors and scenting them so that everyone who likes to have these in their soaps can try it.
What do you think would you like colors and scents in the milk soaps as well as the plain 100% milk (I don't water mine down) bars for those who need them. Please leave a comment on this post.
I will put up some photos later showing you the products in the AWASSI range.
SOAP ROOM
As I have stocked up with all my products I am doing some sorting out and playing with new ideas over the next few days. It is amazing how busy one can be without really trying. I am only working for a few hours at a time as have had severe sciatica and back/neck problems for a few months now. Even to the point of visiting a Neuro surgeon but thank goodness nothing needs to be operated on not that I would go through with that as have seen and heard of to many horror stories where surgery has made things worse.
Anyway I have succumbed to pain relief and have had some acupuncture so now am feeling human. At least the pain has diminished and I can get on with things. I blame this silly weather we are having or sometimes my age as one is not getting any younger but at least I am still mobile and can do things that I love doing.
I have a couple of new products that will be released for sale very soon so as well as the Sheep Milk products keep watching for these. They are not quite ready as yet but will put up pics for you to see when they are.
Don't forget that if you want anything we do free delivery in the local and surrounding areas and I do try to pack everything as well as I can and keep postage down for those outside the area. AusPost prices are high but I cannot use couriers from here as they won't pick up from me. Just one of the downsides of living out of town but there are many positives so I do what I can to help you the customer.
Well I am off to the Soap Room so take care everyone and be kind to each other.
Blessings and Bubbles
