I am having a lazy day today well sort of at least. We did a Market in the rain yesterday something I normally avoid as with soap you certainly don't want to get it wet.
I had some orders that were to be picked up so had to go anyway and it turned out a great day as well. The rain was lovely steady rain so didn't blow in on my stock much just around the ends of the tables closest to the front but I was able to cover them with some plastic that I carry for just such an occasion.
It was so lovely to see so many customers come out in the rain. They were enjoying it as well as it was needed to get the feed up and green again.
Talking about feed last week was the Buy a Bale Market in Toowoomba and while it was apparently a fairly quiet Market Kara the organiser did manage to rais over $1000 to help with buying hay for some of the drought stricken farmers. Thanks to all those people who help support this worthy cause.
My friend Colleen and I made donations as She doesn't do markets anymore and I had a prior engagement. We still like to give where we can and at the moment I am working .on doing soaps for bags Colleen is making that go to cancer patients.
Only 2 more Markets left then I go on a 2 month break. This is where I catch upon my stock for the Market boxes for the next year. Did you know that the process I use the soap has to sit for 4 - 6 weeks before it gets labelled and wrapped ready for the boxes to go to Markets. The longer I leave it sit the better it gets as it not only hardens it also gets milder on your skin. I have some already curing but have lots more that needs to be made. If there are any that you would like please let me know and I will see what I can do.
Also while I am on my Market break you can still place an order online via the website or Facebook and I will post out or deliver if you are in my local area.
School holidays have started here in Queensland so please drive carefully and stay safe if you are travelling and remember be kind to each other
Blessings.
