We are still having the Southerly breeze here no sign of any rain yet though. My vegetable garden is growing well and I am picking lettuce leaves and the silver beet almost every day. Everything else is flowering or has fruit of some kind on it. I grew the mini capsicums this year and just as well they are prolific producers as I have to chop up at least 6 of them to put in any dish I am making.
Yesterday I was busy in the Soap Room and now have a fresh batch of Foot Soak , Calendula Balm, Coconut Soap as well as a new face bar that I am putting up soon. It is a lovely looking smooth bar made with Avocado Oil plus a couple of others and also has Dead Sea Clay in it.
The clay and the Avocado oil has colored the soap naturally so no added colors and I also flavored it with Rose Geranium, Lavender and some Tea Tree Essential Oils.
It was a bit of a calamity as I forgot to get my molds ready before I started making it. Just wasn't thinking straight I guess so it was a mad scramble trying to find my Pringles cans I wanted to make a round bar you see but I had moved them and couldn't find them. Meanwhile the soap is starting to go hard in the pot. Luckily I had some pieces of pipe sitting in sight so I grabbed them and plonked the soap in forgot to line one even and was dreading trying to get it out of the pipe.
I popped them in the freezer last night and took them out this morning just let them sit for awhile
to thaw and then pressed on the end and they slid out of the pipe so easily thank heavens.
Can't wait to try them.
Back in the soap room making more stock today so do hope I don't have another seniors moment and everything goes alright today. My nerves can't take it.
