Good Morning,
Oh boy I am so over this heat, I don't think I have ever felt it this hot for this long ever in my life. We certainly appreciate all the ceiling fans and air con I had installed in the house when we moved in here 12 years ago. How is everyone else coping with it.
I even have the fans on in the bedroom all night which normally I don't like but can't sleep if I don't so on they stay.
It is way to hot for making soap as the soap overheats and I end up with a volcano even putting it in the old fridge I have doesn't stop the volcanoes and what a mess as it literally bubbles up and over the edges of the mould and runs down and out of the fridge onto the floor. I learnt that lesson the hard way as am still trying to clean up the floor. Thank heavens I make soap in my converted garage and there is no floor coverings.
Thank Heavens I made a lot of my restock soaps when we finished the markets in December as now I am reaping the benefits of doing that in that I can sit in comfort in air conditioning and prepare the soaps then label them all as it is only a few weeks and we are back at the Markets. I am crossing my fingers that the weather is more friendly for being outside under a gazebo.
French Pear Soap will be back in stock by then so for those who love it better get in early as it sells quickly. It is such a lovely scent.
Mac is now over his little operation and is calming down sometimes although the heat has a lot to do with that I think. He has really settled in here now and is starting to assert himself. I let him outside on a regular basis as he lets me know when he needs to go out but I follow him and make sure he only goes where I want him to. We do a lizard checking run but the lizards have him beat as they hide under my pot plants until he goes passed then they run for their lives to hide in the garden. He bailed up a frog one night thank heavens it was only on the patio and his pen was in between them. He charges up the back to chase any birds but the mummy pee wee gives her warning screech and all the birds sit up on the fence looking at him.
Not much else going on in our neck of the woods as it is way to hot to get out and about. I wait until the sun has gone to water my garden and I am out there before sun up checking and weeding etc. as once the sun is up it is time to come inside.
We did however take my friend out for her birthday. Went to the café out at Wivenhoe Dam sat out on the verandah as there was a lovely breeze blowing up off the dam and had a lovely lunch. the views were great and it was so peaceful.
Until next time take care and try to keep cool.
Blessings
