Happy Australia Day and I hope you are all taking care to stay hydrated and celebrating sensibly as this heat is getting to the insufferable stage I reckon.
I am so happy as have finished the huge wholesale order and delivered it last Thursday.
It is so good to get an order done and dusted and I have spent the last couple of days getting the Soap Shed back in order. Have also been preparing soaps ready for labelling and wrapping so they can go into stock. The ones I have ready are for another Wholesale order that I just keep making and they are picked up as required. It is nice to have soaps ready when you get a big order.
I haven't forgotten my retail customers either as have several new batches of Luxury Soaps curing and also have Sandalwood ready for labelling. Other than all the soap making I have been cleaning and sorting the Soap Shed out as want to try and make more room. Hopefully will be getting some shelving done in the near future and also some cupboards put on the wall in the laundry for more storage. I am trying to make sure that I don't over run the living area of the house plus I like things close to my work station and I already have the labelling table set up in the family room.
Thank Heavens t is a large open area that includes the dining and kitchen so my tables act as a room divider and don't look to unsightly.
It has been a battle keeping the gardens alive with this dreadful hot weather we have been up in the high 30's most days. My Dahlias and Tomatoes seem to like it as the are taller than me so have had to remove the shade cloth that I had protecting the Vegetable patch as the stakes are not long enough to hold the shade cloth up that high. Have been getting some lovely tomatoes and the dahlias are just starting to flower so guess it is worth it. The birds I feed love it also as all the smaller birds like wrens and sparrows also some finches are starting to patrol oh and the Happy families for insects so they are my natural control squadron. I put plenty of water ot for them as love watching them take baths and skim through the water.
My Fur Babies are taking the heat in their stride even though I don't sheer them they have learned to dash out and do pee pee then rush back inside where it is cool. Normally they want to go on yard patrol and sniff around but not when it is hot. Mac has a double coat so his body is kept insulated and cool that is why I don't get him clipped and Megz is just growing her coat out from being all knotted and having it chopped when she was in rescue. They know where the cool spots are in the house normally under the beds so they go in there sleep mostly.
Well that is all for now Do take care and if you are returning home from holidays this weekend stay safe.
Blessings
