Oh how I love these lovely autumn days now that those awful winds have abated. Cool Mornings and nights but glorious sunny days and even though we need rain to lay the dust I can't but help enjoy these bright and lovely sunny days, It just makes my heart sing and I can get out into the garden to do some much need mulching and getting beds ready for winter.
I am so happy at the moment as have been working flat out for the last few weeks filling some rather large orders and now the last one is all packed and ready for delivery on Monday. Woo Hoo now to stocktake and get shelves filled up ready for the shows and fairs that are looming.
I only have 1 market and 2 shows to do before I have time off for our holidays but we have not planned a specific trip other than going to Mackay to see our son and family and drop off their soap and laundry wash for the next 12 months then drop in on some coastal towns on the way back home. It is all up in the air a bit at the moment as I am waiting on some results of test I had last week and don't get those until July. Maybe we will just go away for a few days and then pop back home to check on things not sure as yet but hope I get inspiration pretty soon.
My garden is looking pretty bare at the moment as my help and I have been pruning and getting beds ready for winter. I don't grow vegetables over winter as we are away but I like to prepare beds ready for spring planting by digging in Lime and Horse poo and then mulching. I also throw slow release fertiliser around and mulch all the native trees and treat the orchids to some transplanting into bigger pots and seasol them so that they produce lots of flowers. This year I have been extending some planting along the front of the tea trees and agapanthus along the fence at the back so next year if they all grow it should look quite pretty I think.
My fur babies are going well. Mac is still barking at anything and everything but that is his nature. Ivan chases him with a spray bottle but he thinks that is a game so barks all the more. While Miss Megs is getting more adventuress and will walk along the lounge when I pick her up then curl up and go to sleep up the other end. She is starting to bark at things she can see including the TV reflections in the window if the curtains have not been closed. They have both decided that they don't want to sleep in the portacot anymore and so go to bed in their individual crates now. I am really pleased with this as that is how they will sleep when we are travelling in the caravan. The crates are left up as Megz likes to pop in one when Mack is being to boisterous or if I am out at all during the day.
Well I guess that is all the rambles I have for now so do take care and be kind to each other.
Blessings
