I must say a big welcome to any new likers on my Facebook Page as noticed the numbers are creeping up. Have a browse through the albums and look at what is available.
I do a "Ramble" on the website now and then and it flows through to Facebook as well. Should do more but so much to do and so little time seems to be my Mantra lately. Hope it is not just me getting old shhhh! don't mention that to anyone.
This year is coming to an end so fast as I only have 2 shows in December and then I take a break to catch up on Product making and also to have a rest. Website and Facebook can still take orders I just don't do Markets and shows as weather is way to hot to sit out there. So if you need anything during this mini break just phone or place an order on website or pm me in Facebook.
I have been so busy with product making for the markets, Co-op Shop and also Wholesale supplies that barely a day goes by that I am not doing something in the Soap Shed. Have been trialling a new way of making batches of soap to streamline production and make more batches in one day. I discovered it when winter was on its way out and the days had not warmed up enough to melt the solid oils like coconut. It takes a bit of prep time to set up in the morning but when it comes to making the soaps in the late afternoon I can do as many batches as I have moulds ready for. It is working great and I spend the other days cutting storing or labelling have even had time to do some sewing this week and will now have more cool ties ready when I label them today. Also some new soap fragrances are nearly ready.
My garden girl has gone and got herself a job I am so pleased for her but gee I miss having her come around every Tuesday as now I am trying to keep on top of all the mowing and weeding etc. The flowers have been so lovely since spring arrived. The new Day Lillies are flowering so well and are a delight to see after the bareness of winter with most plants hibernating. I also have Gazanias and a black eyed Daisy flowering profusely along with the blue salvias and my new Dahlias are budding up so can't wait to see them. We have had a little bit of rain to water the garden for a couple of days and put some in the tanks but am waiting for more to come as I had the plumber redirect rain off the roof and stormwater drains into 2 of the tanks. If we get more than they can hold then I will pump it upto the big tank on the shed as it takes lots of rain to fill it.
Mac and Megz are off to a new vet today for health checks and vaccinations. Megz has really progressed over the 12 months I have had her. She turned 12 at the beginning of this month and had some lovely roast chicken to celebrate. They miss each other if I take one out and leave the other at home so have bonded well. Mac is actually starting to do as he is told now that he is 3. He still loves to play with his squeaky toys and the small soft balls that squish up for him to carry them around. Oh and he love his ducks that quack. I finally found a harness that will fit Mac as he is short and fat with so much hair that none of the standard doggy ones would fit around his tummy or were to high up his neck. The harness I have now came from Aldi's and expands around the middle as the ends go through a circle at the top then slide up and down depending on the size of the girth they are going around. It will last him a long time I am hoping at least the dog rescue places have benefited from my trials and errors as I have bundled up all misfit harness leads and coats and sent them on.
Well that is enough of me rambling I think so Take Care everyone and be kind to each other.
Blessings
