I have been trying to get to do this for a week but never seem to find the time during the day so am resorting to sitting here with computer on my lap to get something down that will let you all know I am still here.
I must say I have had a good excuse since returning from our caravan trip at the end of July as I have been so busy stocking up on product for the Spring Fairs and Shows. I was making up to 5 batches of Cremes or Lotions a day there for awhile but that is the easy part as I find the labelling and shrink wrapping are very time consuming.
It is all done now and there is only one more Festival I am booked to be at but not for 3 weeks so I can breathe and spend sometime getting other parts up to speed. Like writing a ramble once a week.
I have caught up with all orders and the last of them will go out on Thursday so can relax a bit for now in fact will be heading South next week for a Baker get together so will be away for a few days.
Still have a new product in my mind but as yet it is only an idea until I spend some time putting it together hopefully will try to make it as soon as come back and have it out for testing soon afterwards. I have a new soap to be released when the next festival is on mid October. The Chilli Festival at Murphy's Creek so the soap is following that theme. Smells divine I must say but is still curing on the shelf as yet.
Not only have I been busy in the soap shed but also in my garden whenever I could squeeze a few spare minutes. I have to water every other day as we have had no rain worth mentioning since we returned home but am hoping to extend that out to more days between watering as have been laying layers of horse poo and then mulching with sugar cane mulch. Finished the last lot this afternoon. I only had to do about half the length of the block as the guys I had coming every week did the other half before we went on our trip but they have found full time jobs now and don't come anymore so I had to do the rest. Luckily they have done the bulk of the heave stuff before they left and I really appreciated what they did as there is no way I could have got it this far on my own. It looks really good now it is finished even if I do say so. Just need it to rain now and soak everything.
My next thing to do in the garden is to dig and break up clumps of perennial Salvia plus the hippeastrums but unfortunately I am to late as they are all getting new shoots so will have to wait until autumn.
I now have Mac standing over me and begging for some attention so my typing must come to an end as I cannot brush him at night until he has had the ball thrown and chases it to wear him out. He must be almost comatose before I am allowed near him with the brush and comb.
So until next time Take Care and remember to be kind to each other.
Blessings
