Just where does time go as here I am halfway through the 2 month break from Markets and I still have so much to do before I start back again. I thought I was catching up but when I do a stocktake
I am so far behind it is not funny. Does anyone else feel that time just disappears to fast these days.
I am in the soap room most days except for shopping day and that is when I am labelling or shrink wrapping later in the day. Being a one man band is certainly time consuming don't you think. I always have a Nanny Rest in the middle of the day as that gives my legs and back a rest to go on and do more in the afternoon and evenings. All though most evenings are taken up brushing Little Mac and Miss Megs while I get a glimpse of TV.
It is not all a tale of woe as I have made new batches of Calendula, Comfrey, and Irritated Skin Balms and they are now in 50 and 100 gm jars. Also 2 new balms have hit the shelves there is Calm Balm and Sleepy Balm these are in the Amber glass jars and there name says it all. I have been making Gardeners Soap for a special Lady who is combining them with her embroidered towels and garden kit gifts so when they are ready will put them up on the Facebook Page and website. Some have Loofah in them either whole slices or shredded and some have Poppy seeds as the scrubby bits. Most are made from Goats Milk. I like the Lemon Myrtle and Poppy seed one myself so will be using that for my hands after being in the garden.
My garden has been suffering badly in the heat and dry winds but there has been some relief for it and all of us with the cool change and rain we have had the last couple of days. I certainly am enjoying it and so are the fur babies. The change started off with a huge storm last Wednesday and we were down in NSW but I had put shade cloth all around the vegetable beds and used tomato stakes to hold it up. Bad idea as the winds were so strong that when they hit the shade cloth and it resisted then the stakes snapped off at the ground. Luckily I had a wire trellis up for the beans and that held the beans up off the ground. We came home on Friday and I took the shade cloth down until I can get more stakes. Just as well as the beans are nearly finished so I am letting what is on there go to seed for next year now.
The fur kids are doing well Megs has a bit of arthritis but the vet has prescribed something with shark cartilage and green lipped mussels in it and she seems ok now. Mac is full of beans as usual although he does seem to be quieting down a bit. Maybe it is just another stage of his growing up. He is in full coat now and looks lovely trotting along with his little legs just poking out.
Well that is all as I have covered the 3 main areas of how my life is at the moment so hope you are all safe and well and have a great week.
Blessings
